an ode to a very dear friend i lost.

Last few days were an experience which will imprint in the making me of a human being, a soul and a life which my soul is living and many of us. I lost a friend who I had known for many years, we went to school together, took the same bus, were in the same group of friends, everything. And suddenly one day I learnt he was gone. I never got the opportunity to say goodbye to his physical body or even sit for his prayer. We believe constantly we don’t have time for ourselves because we are so busy meeting and doing things which are so unimportant. We have time to cry, time to be jealous, time to fight, time to give and receive pain…but we have very little time to give love, to give respect, to give a life of joy, to give a life of tranquility. This poem once dedicated to him during his struggles, re dedicated to him and a reminder to all of us, living and breathing each day.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
Whe he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

  1. May his soul rest in peace. Your words make him sound wonderful.

    Was that beautiful poem written by you?

  2. Yes may his soul rest in peace. He is (was) a wonderful soul and I know his presence is around.

    This poem is a very famous poem but not written by me. But he knows what it means. It is poem which was dedicated to him and his family long back. And today it goes back to him once again. God bless.
