the walk

i stood at the doorway wondering if i was in the right path. the faint shimmering light seemed to confirm the correct decision. however, my eyes seemed to blur a little and i did not know what to make out of it.
there were faint yet strong voices which confirmed i was walking the correct path.
it took me a while. i kept walking. the path was made of rock but firm. it did not shift everytime i walked on it. i kept walking. i was made to sail a few places. i sailed.
all this while floating, wondering. Hoping someday my blinded vision would go unblur. i continued the walk. legs were wobbly and alot more unsure.
i shuddered at every step taken towards the light. it seemed cold and alien to me. i kept walking.
hours later. i reached a metre away from the light. the light was growing warmer, assuring its warmth and care. i was still unsure. i continued to walk.
a lightning struck. and i knew i was right.
(It takes only a few seconds to know whether you are right or wrong. a second lightning can change perceptions and decisions. god bless)
